for me it's between doo rags and u gotta love it

but purple and drunk by myself were nas introspective shyt at his finest. I love the begining of poppa was a playa

this compilation is the definition of realness and to me that's where I realized nas was my favourite rapper and goat. I was a fan of eminem prior to that but when I heard the lost tapes I lost it lol

It was not about the technique but the overall tone, the sadness, the humbleness, it was like the flow grabs you and take you to a journey of sorrow. It was a general mood, that nostalgia, that mystique...

It's the kind of feel you got when you are listening to a sade album. you just press play and let it ride
