its gentrified emo boom bap. and lo-fi isnt a style its a way you process your beat. you can make a trap beat and run it through a tascam 424 and it will be lofi. all those cacs do when they make that shyt is find a piano sample they dont chop and put a basic drum pattern on it. real lo-fi beatmakers are nikkas like ohbliv dibia$e kvze knxwledge stlndrms etc and you can lowkey give rza the claim to being the forefather of lofi over dilla

IMO, Dilla was a Newtonian level genius at this music shyt.

You could put all his work on a dart board, throw a dart at it, and make a legit case for whatever it landed on being his best work.

He literally could do no wrong.
