shyt, I didn’t find out til his beat tapes were leaked. I remember them playing it a few times on 107.5(a small Detroit station) in the mid-90’s, but I always thought it was an Erick Sermon remix.

That was pretty dope. I’d like to listen to more before forming an opinion, but to me off that right there it just sounds influenced by. But I also think that Dilla is very hard to bite bite because so few people even have the skill set to do it.

To me the best producer on earth right now is Madlib so I don’t mean any disrespect when I say this but to me he’s been the only person to truly successfully be able to bite Dilla and have it sound dope. And I’m not saying that he makes a habit out of it, but he went through a phase of it and he also made a tribute beat tape to Dilla that sounded uncanny.

Yep madlib was the only producer that Dilla really had to worry about like that as far as some steel sharpen steel shyt, that's from Dilla's on mouth.

And yeah Dilla was only getting better, I always discuss with my boy how far plugged into the matrix he would be right now.
