Gentrification. A lot of things are happening in that area and Lightfoot ready to get FBA out. Woodlawn is an up and coming neighborhood but still not attractive to most White people yet like southside neighborhoods closer to downtown. But once they get enough Hispanics to move in and make it feel more comfortable for them, they will be coming.

Same thing is happening in the DMV area. Lots of Mexicans been flocking to Hyattsville and chillum. I'm seeing the same in Atlanta and raleigh/Charlotte. Seems like what happened in LA is going to repeat itself where we're doing well

I keep up with local politics in this city and I must say from my observations black people here did this to themselves. We fck ourselves over trying to keep politicians in office who don't have none of our interests in mind. And a lot of the black elected officials here are puppets, bought by the rulings party to mislead the black community. Its bad now, and it will get worse in the next 5-10 unless black people unite and deal will ALL of our issues.

Won't happen. Black democrats are mostly anti black neo liberals nowadays like Lightfoot and marine waters. If you want to know the future of black folks in ATL, vhicago and DMV area, look how Maxine waters ignored black men who told her that mexican gangs were targeting innocent black civilians. Party before race breh. The democratic party made these people go along with black and brown coalition starting when Obama was in office. You cannot be a black politician here in Chicago if you fight just for black people.. You must say "black and brown" or the establishment will call you a racist. Funny you mentioned Hyattsville/Chillum. I spent a lot of time in that area off Queens Chapel. Langley Park is basically Little El Salvador, they will approach you speaking Spanish before English in that part of PG. I almost got into some serious shyt with this Hispanic in Mount Rainier as well. Gang activity all around there.

Where are they taking over in ATL? I used to live on the eastside, Glenwood area.

Keeping it 100, it's over as a collective. It's 2023. Brehs keep pushing the timeline further and further into the future like other races are stagnant waiting for us to catch up. They are making progress today, they not talking about what they need to do tomorrow, they are doing it. They bussing in new Hispanics while stopping Black immigrants at the border. You can't catch up if you are 50-100 years behind everybody else. Plus we outnumbered and outgunned. It's gonna get spooky this decade.

But I'm sure Black people especially Black women will continue to vote Democrat. When your vote is balanced and the parties can't predict who you will vote for each election, they fight for it and actually do things that benefit your race. Nobody wondering which party Black people will vote for and here we are.

I got some bad news for you. Black women voting Democrat won't be bad for them, it'll be bad for black men only.

ESPECIALLY the black women here. Some of these women really believe its up to the education system to teach their kids how to read.. So now the politicians run their platform on bettering the education system, knowing that if you don't have parent participation, you'll have bad schools no matter how much resources you dump into it. You'll just have beautiful schools with stupid kids in them. So to your point, yes, it is OVER. When the children aren't even being protected, but being used as political pawns, its a done deal.

That's what Reagan and nixons war on drugs was meant to accomplish. Broken family means kids who won't grow up to compete with their peers.

I feel like this is just another manifestation of black folks wanting to imitate wealthy, privileged liberal white folks. Many in our community have started to adopt their mindset. They can advocate for illegal immigrants all they want to because they are never going to be in their neighborhoods unless somebody's grass is getting cut or some landscaping is being done. They can push for gay rights, minority rights and all kinds of shyt that's irrelevant to them because they won't be harmed by it in any significant measure.

Black folks don't realize that we aren't in the same position. We GOTTA advocate for ourselves and realize that these other groups are competition and see us the same way.

This is the biggest problem that a lot of nikkas haven't realized yet. A lot of neo liberal black folks like deray mckesson types are who speak for us now. These the nikkas who scream that black and brown talk too.

I live in LA near Boyle heights and the Mexicans here are getting gebtrified. A lot of them are moving down south towards the sanctuary cities down there. ESPECIALLY Atlanta. Check their population growth there. It's why Stacey Abrams was trying to set up tuition free college at some HBCUs in the area for DACA (dreamers). nikkas not aware to what's happening sadly. North Carolina, DMV, Atlanta, Houston and Charlotte are going to turn into LA (if you know about the racewar we had with them in LA you'd know what I mean). Chicago is already at that point. I knew it was a wrap for nikkas in Chicago once I seen those mexican gangs shooting at black folks during the blm protests. They deep in Chicago now:

White liberals basically did this thing where they intentionally propped up LGBTQ and feminists to speak for black folks. Basically putting race related issues to the back burner. They love their jemele hills types. We fell for it by letting that crowd co-opt BLM from Darren seales and them. That gotta be our biggest mistake as black men. How we let those clowns co-opt the movment in 2019.
