Considering that they are trying to move them into an empty school that tells you the neighborhood is already lacking resources. Neighborhoods with empty buildings generally have very little resources. So now the city wants to bring more marginalized people into a marginalized neighborhood and have them all share the little resources available. It's crazy to place the responsibility of the migrants on citizens who are already getting the short end of the stick. That's like your immediate family being broke, then your cousins gotta come live with you and take a portion of the little you have, all while your other richer family tells you "hey, don't be like that".

I don't understand what resources you think the actual neighborhood or neighbors are going to provide..

Whatever those ppl get will come from the government unless they got family or find a job

You realize the city used money for the past few months to fix up the school for the migrants while not telling the community that this was the intent? A school that has been under utilized and shut down for years with no plans to figure out how it can be used to enrich the neighborhood. However as soon as migrants come to the Chicago they make plans and find money for updates to that school to help the migrants. Basic consideration is a resource too, something the city did not provide the current citizens. You're right, the neighborhood doesn't have resources, the government does. And the government said either we use the money to help the migrants or Woodlawn community. They chose the migrants.

No, we don’t know. Do you have any sources beyond a video without any context?

I understand the frustration in how one underprivileged community may feel in regards to another receiving seemingly preferential treatment but there are far too many questions and zero answers. Where did these migrants come from? Was it an existing agreement between the feds, state and local authorities? Were they simply tossed around from place to place like the republicans have been doing, effectively aggrandizing the problem?

Just like COLI MODERATORS

Can’t count the amount of times I’ve been bushed/banned for calling out the double standards.

I find it sadly ironic how other Hispanics, including people who immigrated here illegally, can recognize how illegals can displace them in housing, employment, voting, etc. and then oppose policies bringing them in.....but Black folks don't realize this.

It's a shame how clueless many of us are until it's too late. Despite all we've been through as a race, we still haven't learned our lesson about being overly accommodating to outsiders :francis:
You do realize it’s the sellout black liberals that are doing this and making deals with Hispani-CAC liberals behind closed doors right?

I know from your talking down tone that you’re one of them. Keep talking to us like we’re slow and don’t see what is really going on

Nonsense. When was that school shutdown? 2020? 2019?

It hasn't been long enough for you to complain about it being shut down. As you said, the school was already under enrolled. Did the community hold any press conferences and were they this engaged in finding a use for the old school in the last 2 years?

No? Well there you have it.

And it doesn't matter at all, that the city used 100k of it's $14B budget to prepare it. That's irrelevant.

When did the city start fixing the school up, btw? Cause Texas just started flooding them with migrants 3 months ago:

Is your theory that CPS approved their budgets for the last few years knowing the school would be shut down and they'd turn it into a shelter for migrants that Texas was going to start sending in September 2022?
It hasn't been long.

Pay attention FBA, these outsiders are telling you that you are doing nothing in your community - that they never visit.

They think their priorities are above yours even when they just crossed over the border and can't speak English. They ain't paid no taxes :francis:

Dude said 100K like that's peanuts. I'm sure some Woodlawn residents could have used that 100K.

Some interesting points being discussed here, but how about just putting they asses back on a bus. They are illegal immigrants right? Treat them the same as the way you do our Haitian brothers. Smh
I be damn is some body hopping fences be granted with the same right that we've had to fight for.

There is currently a process to becoming a citizen.

All this bending over for some distant future voters.

Blacks have allies but don't have representation.

Some of you all SWORE that these Democrats and Progressives were our fukking friends and allies.
:mjlol:

When these people are dropped off in places like Martha’s Vineyard, they were kicked out the very next day after the Progressive cacs got their photo ops. One of the wealthiest areas/cities in America, full of empty mansions and they didn’t bother to let them stay long term.
:pachaha:

They’ll scream about open borders and letting these people in en masse, just as long as it doesn’t affect them in ANY way. As long as they can have these people mow their lawns, slave away, and babysit their unruly children for pennies, they’ll scream about letting them in. “We just don’t want them in our neighborhoods though!” I see right through these hypocritical Democrats and Progressive demons.

Had to rep you for discernment.

They are legally seeking asylum. You’re right, there is a legal procedure to that, but they are being systematically robbed of due process by republicans using human being as pawns for political leverage. Ironically it is the GOP contributing to the problem they are supposedly against, as once these individuals miss their court dates they effectively become “illegal.”

And another thing, Biden has vowed to expand a government program allowing 30,000 migrants per month from countries such as Haiti and Cuba:

Pay attention FBA, these outsiders are telling you that you are doing nothing in your community - that they never visit.

You’re a crybaby. Dude makes a topic with zero input with the intent of circlejerking to a play. :heh:
