Why do you think there is going to be an active investigation on this and a follow up press conference briefing the public on updates?

Even if she’s right this is just a viral video of someone acting a fool inside of a fast food place

There’s no legal or societal basis for anything to come of this

And you’d be surprised, places like McDonald’s likely have a bit of leeway in this kind of thing. Probably not going to be the first priority, McDonald’s losing their workers would be a disruption to how many people in the area that visit that place daily? How many other McDonald’s gave the exact same thing going on?

Why are you upset that I have decided to wait to see what comes of this instead of picking a side to support? I will wait to see if something comes of this. If the mother is right, then I am pretty sure something later will come along and mention how that same McDonalds was raided by ICE. If she is wrong, then I will hear nothing at all.

Back in the day McDonald's jobs were desgined for teenagers to gain experience for the real world. They were not designed for middle aged Hispanics.

This is 2008 all over again, their phone is probably ringing off the hook with people checking the status of their application. I remember going to a Taco Bell/KFC doing open interviews way back then and it was packed. They cut the phone lines off a few days later, I assume because of the amount of people trying to followup.

Regardless of how that woman was acting, if that staff is really all Hispanics in the middle of Atlanta they are purposely shutting out black workers. I was thinking this was somewhere like the Bay Area at first. Even white District Managers/Regional VP's know how blatant they are with only hiring their own once a Hispanic person moves into management.

Man......being ground zero during that time frame seeing businesses closing up shop, getting laid off, and hours getting gutted still raises the hairs on the back of my neck .

People talk about covid era being bad business concerning the job market, but before 2008, you could easily get a gig in a instant. It took me almost 3 years after I got laid off from my wife's father's gig as a landscaper to find a legit job. Those that spew that "there's jawbs out here" shyt, never dealt with the woes because they either got it honest, got their foot in the door at the right time, or know somebody that know somebody.
