I used to love kat. Piratebay was mostly garbage to me and always the alternative once I found kat. Now though, it's annoying as hell just to even try to torrent things unless you're trying to find a book that you can't get anywhere else because I have money to pay for things now and it's not worth the hassle.
I also, legitimately, used to use it for downloading Linux distros. That's a common excuse and while I didn't need to I liked actually having that on record to say that's what I used it for.

This is typical and the cost of doing bootleg. The feds only go after the top site at any given time. They don't have the resources or man power to stop all piracy.
