Nobody gnna listen to this trash audio launch when you have passable equipment



You need to be more energetic and have a better background nobody wants to be reminded other gamers live in there mom's basement as well

Thanks for the well wishes and mic suggestion ...i still need to lookup info on the previous mic suggestion. Rode shotgun mic in addition to your blue mic suggestion. Though i'm still partial to the mic I'm looking at listed above.

That said I'm fine with the current mic setup/recording process for now. Episodes 1 & 5 use the current setup ...episode 4 doesn't.


I already addressed the audio mix In ep5. Now in terms of the content reception I expect that to be all over the place. Put simply some people simply won't like some episodes and i'm fine with that.

A person who likes game preview/review sites might not like gamer blog highlights.
A person who likes gamer blogs might not like game preview/review site highlights.
A person who likes black created games highlights might not like black "lets play" highlights.

I'm just going to do a wide array of topics/content and let the chips fall. As a matter a fact the first 10 episodes are designed to be all over the place so that it's clear how wide a range I'm going for.

I think ultimately with these chanel's if your having fun with it and enjoy what your doing you will find your audience.

With that being said it doesn't sound like you understand or have a plan for what your trying to achieve and if you want to take this seriously that's not the plan.

Guys like comic explained once they reached popularity hire writers and produce scripts etc.

I don't think you need all that now but you nerd clear goals and a game plan to what you want to achieve with your videos, not 10 episodes that are all over the place because the yotube generations attention span is minute .

Basically
In all honesty my assumptions is that i'll go upwards of 10-13eps with little fan fare. At which time i'll make a video on someone or something that already has followers. Youtube will throw up a video suggestion which then catches a fair amount of attention that sends people who care for my content and delivery back to previous episodes to catch up. That's more then likely where my first serious crop of viewers will come from. People looking for something else and catch me in the suggestions. I'll just enjoy my self until said event occurs.

I'm not doing dog videos one day and game videos the next. As a matter a fact you can predict what will be in the up coming episodes by simply looking at http://www.videogamestashbox.com/House/groups . If it's on that list i'll do an episode on it.

Also I'm very clear on what I'm doing/going for. I have a business i'm using to fund and distribute games. I currently have a "funding arm" and "community arm". Within the "community arm" I have an area called "gaming crossroads" that list gaming content created by black people worldwide.

In a nut shell:
1.The Vlog series "gaming crossroads" takes it's name, concept, and content from there.
2.The vlog series is in place to offer free content in order to build a viewership related to my hosted content
3. That viewership is to be moved over to my platform so that a rapport can be further built via expanded free survices.
4. That rapport then serves as the base to offer paid game trading survices from the main funding wing
5. Funds derived from sales are then used to design & develop games
6. Those games are then hosted on the main site and offered to those customers i've built along with the wider community

So this is the same video with the background audio adjusted down.

The neutral audio position is 0db the voice was set to +9.1db with the gain adjusted to 36 to remove noise. The background music was set to -7.1db but the gain was never adjusted so it remained unadjusted at 50. I adjusted the gain on the background music to 25 to smooth out the audio issues. I'm not going to make any further changes. I'll list it as public sometime tomorrow.

Thanks for the feedback people I think I'm fine from here on out. I'll just make tweaks as I go from here. The major technical issues are now ironed out.

First of all, props to you for:

1. Starting your own thing
2. Being pro-active and trying to create a YouTube vlog that ties into your business
3. How you respond to feedback - with that attitude you will improve, improve and improve

My feedback:
I made it to about 2 minutes.

-After 2 minutes some very important things were not clear to me:
-who you are
-what you do
-what this vlog is about

You want those things to be clear for every video you do until you have a decent following at least.

-2 minutes in it felt like I was watching someone peruse a forum, that is not fun to me.

-Remember that people are visual, if you talk about a game, show a gameplay video (or snippets) if you talk about people show a picture or video of them.

-Your picture is so small I literally could not see who you were and you are the face of your brand, literally

-I don't know what your company does but by the looks of it is an umbrella for smaller entities. If that is true please explain

-why is there an outline of Africa in one of the logos? Is this only for black developers/fans?

That said: keep going. It sounds like you mainly need a forum to do what you like - but first we need to know what that is..
