Fela is incredible. Grew up listening to Fela. Didn't appreciate it till I was older tho.

I wish I had grown up listening to Fela. I actually put my uncle on to Fela a few years back. He quickly became one of my favorite artists and I would venturue to say that he is one of the most important artists in music in the last 50 years. Necessary listening for sure. I learned a lot by listening to his music and watching documentaries on his life. Music Is The Weapon and Finding Fela are great documentaries on him.

Femi Kuti is dope too. I dont really check for his other son Seun Kuti even tho he leads the Egypt 80 band now.
