Marriage is a religious institution with traditional ideals. Y'all reject all the ideals (being obedient, chaste, etc) but still want to get married and don't see how marriage is the same as all those horrible oppressions y'all claim came before feminism.
And I never mentioned work at all. Even tho yes any man of quality and provide for a household
Those traditional ideals were based in times where the opinions and beliefs of women didn't really matter so their voices weren't taken seriously.
You act as if society isn't fluid and changes depending on things like region, scientific knowledge, and a variety of other factors.
You also act as if you can't promote traditional ideals in certain aspects while adapting to new knowledge that disproves other traditional ideals.
So yeah, it's possible that women could wanna get married and support certain traditional values like family, the benefits of rausing children in a two parent household, and so forth while possibly shirking other traditional ideals that were created when men decided what her role should be in a time where she couldn't speak.
What's wrong with that?
