Because Susan B Anthony, the
leader of the women's suffrage/feminist movement believed in the advancement of white women. So much so that she believed that black men shouldn't be afforded any rights (or equal to a white man) before a white woman. Feminism fails to address the issue of intersectionality, i.e being a black woman. It directly goes against and threatens black empowerment.
Fine. I forgot about it.
1. Susan B. Anthony did not invent feminism nor was she the founder of the movement. Please provide proof.
2. Susan B. Anthony might have had some terrible views. I'm afraid I don't know of them. Mind sharing? As for feminism having the same goals of when it originally started to gain traction, that's false. Feminism like any philosophy has evolved and changed with the times. Between the sexual revolution, the Summer of Youth, and 60's/70's feminist movement, saying that feminism as it is today had the same goals as it did in the 1800's is foolish.
3. They might, who knows. That doesn't change the fact that today, in my world, women are paid less, women's birth control and birth rights are being under attack, and women are taken less seriously in any type of circle despite being more educated, and more. All of this effects me and women I know. What do you want me to do? Just sit there and take it when I'm told I shouldn't be allowed to have equal pay despite my hard work going through university and working my ass to provide for my future?
At Ferguson, black women were on the front lines.
Black women right now are trying to build our communities up through our own businesses:

Black women are taking care of our own. This cannot be disputed.
At Ferguson, black women were on the front lines. Any time a black man or child is killed by some white dude or something, black women rally together.
Monetary-wise, Black women right now are trying to build our communities up through our own businesses:

I didn't say support BM, I said attack White supremacy
Hair care isn't institutions.
Libraries, Hospitals, Law Firms, Groceries, Schools, Media, Art Centers, Family Units, etc
What are Black Feminist doing to build these?
1. She virtually was the founder for dominant society, who recognized feminism when she arrived on the scene. She's recognized as the figurehead, whether she was the founder or not.
2. Her views have been shared in this thread. A quick google search would do you wonders, though. Just know that she didn't like black people.
3. women have benefited from the Lily Ledbetter Act; women now outnumber men in institutions of higher learning and also outperform men in these institutions; women have the Constitutional right to privacy, which protects abortion; women are making GREAT strides in corporate America; the marriage/divorce system undoubtedly benefits women...how are women severely disadvantaged in this day and age?
I disagree, feminism has changed. Women do believe in rights, freedoms, and choices however the issue of inclusion and racism has been addressed.

What are black men and non-feminist black women doing to build these? What's your point?
That's kind of the same thing, though.
That's because women need higher education more than men. A woman today has to go to college to make the same salary as a man who doesn't go. See here:
http://sundial.csun.edu/2014/02/where-are-all-the-men/
A 2011 report done by the NCES proves that full-time male workers with a high school diploma earn an average of $40,000 per year while their female counterparts are only earning $30,000.
Although women now comprise the majority of the college graduates, they are still making less than men.
The same report showed that women with a bachelor’s degree make an average of $49,000 per year while men make an average of $66,000 a year.
Feminism, womanism (focus on black gendered struggle) or Africana womanism (focus on black diaspora) are all based on the radical notion that women are people too. It isn't about putting men down.
One of the things we learn in many of our AFR classes is that if we worked to eradicate the injustices against black and 3rd world women, we would end up disassembling all the other inequalities (for other disempowered groups) along the way. It would only make things better for black men, and in fact, keeping our husbands and sons safe and prosperous is a highly sought after feminist goal.
If you aren't building any of these then your movement has no point to me.
Marching and protesting isn't attacking White supremacy, Black Queen.
