I’ve been calling for Howie’s job the last couple years, and I stand by what I said. But credit where it’s due, what a great offseason for him:
- Signed Hassan Reddikk, Kyzir White.
- Traded for AJ Brown.
- Drafted Jordan Davis, Cam Jurgens, and Nakobi Dean.
- Got an extra 2023 1st and an extra 2024 2nd.
Obviously the defensive backfield is still an utter mess, as they have no safeties and the CBs are all unproven outside of Slay, but the team is still a work in progress. I don’t think they really start looking at competing for top seeds until about 2023 at earliest. But the important thing is that Howie has gotten a lot of really promising players and made this team better.
For how badly Howie managed the Super Bowl window, he’s handled the rebuild very well. So hats off to him.
