Wait TS werent you all in the MKX thread? :leostare:

But now fighters are a trash genre? :patrice:

Sounds like youre just garbage and cant step your game up :umad:

The biggest thing with fighting games are the competition factor. Yeah nice single player content and lil extra gimmicks are nice, but the gameplay and competition are the meat and potatoes. They are fighting games, wtf did you expect from them? :francis:

Diss a whole genre cuz you cant even scratch the surface, brehs

yea im trash at a game thats not out yet :francis:

i never said fightng games are trash. can u read dikkhead? i said fighting games are a RIP OFF because its so little content

fighters and racing genre :scust:
Out grew them quick. Mk 1, 2, & 3 on Sega. Killer instinct on snes. Cart World Series are the only fighting games & racer I ever owned. They just got so boring.

If a fighting game would make a career mode. Where there would be ton of options to distinguish myself from others. Custom animations with a shlt load of move sets. Back in the day My cuz used to play a game called Dragon Seed on PS1. It was dope. U would participate in tourneys. U would need to train consistently b4 tourneys to ensure a better chance at victory. Ur fighter would get old or could even die. Now add Dragon Seed mechinanics with what i stated before. I would hand my money over real quick :yeshrug:

Besides strategy games fighting games are the closest thing to chess. When you are actually playing competent players there is more to fighting games then just pressing buttons and knowing your characters special moves.

i see what your saying. i have no doubt that fighting games are in depth and have a steep learning curve. but the steps to get that deep into it are just not there. practice mode is a joke. this is again going back to fighting games not evolving. throw in some extra game modes and make people wanna actually get in depth with the game

Now I know youre talking out your ass cuz many of these newer fighters have extensive training/practice/trials that do just that. You would love shooters more cuz they hold your hand, fighters dont.

played injustice for 5 minutes then bushes. played mortal kombat vs DC to do all the finishing moves then once i seen em all, bushes.

I mean.......Injustice was kinda ass. You playing the wrong games breh.

And the guy who said you get the most out of your money with fighting games is sort of right.

When SF4 originally dropped for 360, at the time the arcades (they still existed at the time :mjcry:) were charging 1 dollar per play. Meanwhile you hop on xbox live, throw down 100 matches, and you can do the math.

I do agree with those that say fighters should have more modes and all that though. Who remembers Alpha 3 on PS1 with the World Tour mode?? That was kinda dope.

For what its worth, this is true. There are fighters with in depth tutorials that teach you more than just combos and special moves (DOA5, Skullgirls for example) but most fighting games have absolutely terrible tutorials.

SF4 is still the biggest fighter, but if you are new to the game, there is no tutorial and you will suck. You wont know anything about knock downs, overheads, mix ups, cross ups, whiff punishing, frame advantage, etc etc etc they only show you how to do useless combos. You wont understand why you are losing unless you google search and watch hours of video, or have someone teach you. How many times in SF4 I ran into players who can do cool combos but cannot figure a way to land any of them besides jumping and they just lose to me not doing any goddamn combos and just countering stupidity.

I do agree that these games need to at least show people the fundamentals. If you play any of these games online you know damn well that 95 percent of the players play like idiots and thats likely cause there are no tutorials
