What about Zaytoven, He never made a hit. And he never went pop or R&B strictly trap beats.

Unless your a billionaire/millionaire... Broke, rich, poor..etc is all subjective. I don't know anything about Zay but he most likely has a decent life (from his music). Like a person working a 9-5.

To me a 9-5 is 400-500 a week

Bruh I highly doubt there's a set in stone way labels operate nowadays. 2 chainz got his shyt released and his single didn't pick up until after his album had already dropped.

Def Jam threw GOOD artists in the bushes but I know for a fact how this shyt works breh I'm in & out of these labels every week...

Future's next release is getting tossed to the wolves if he doesn't get a Top 40 record... he's on Epic, they don't play that... :heh:

Zay makes money as a session musician for a LOT of cats... that's why it pays to know actual music theory...

U remember Orianthi? She never made it as an artist but she stays getting work as a session musician...

hmmm, he could make music for free mixtapes or hip-hop retail albums y'all will just download for free.....or go make music for white people and have a better chance of getting paid before he gets phased out of a fickle game.

People gotta realize, it's not like the 90's anymore. There's millions of producers now. So a lot of these cats aren't gonna be around as long as predicted. Music moves way too fast these days. You'd have to really be making classic shyt or be a part of something special to really stay on top nowadays. All of the top-tier dudes that are still rockin', have like a good decade or so in, with no real lay offs.

Mike WiLL is kinda like the new Polow. But not even on that level, 'cause Polow had actual certified hits for a minute. I honestly doubt Mike will ever reach that level. So I'm gonna go ahead and co-sign on them Larry Holmes papers.
