The panther's playbook in some garbage man, Cam is good enough he just need a legit chance, Rivera is a terrible coach
steve smith is pretty much done now, Greg Olsen better years are behind him, the team isn't galvanized to win games
Look how the Lions did stafford man, they made sure he had some weapons to work with, young guys he can build upon
I understand their defense was atrocious and needed to be addressed, but still you in a vision with high powered offenses you need to put up points

This is a good post and I tend to agree with you. However I don't know how much of a pocket passer Cam really is in comparison to Stafford. I don't know how much things would change if Cam had a similar-but-different playbook and the same talent. I think Cam needs a playbook which doesn't put emphasis on long drops, thereby negating Cam's problem with footwork. Cam would do best in a system which gives him the option to run, pass short and pass long.

I tend to agree with you.

You assume Stafford is better pocket passer, because thats all he can be
Cam has proven he can be accurate from the pocket even though in the games this year it doesn't seem so, I mean it seems like he's regressing in that regard, and thats blame has to be put on the coaching staff man. You can't treat a young talent like this, you gotta give him a chance to grow.
The lions, They gave Stafford all the tools he needed to shine, but he seems to be regressing to me, and I blame that on the coach as well.

You need to give Cam some accountability for his performance. His ball location could improve. He overthrows receivers on a consistent basis. He is too slow with his progressions. His pocket movement seems worse than year's previous. But like you say, I attribute some of his troubles to poor coaching. In particular, Cam pocket presence seems to have regressed this year. Cam came into the league with a prodigious ability to extend plays. Today he looks stiffer than when he started. Gettleman said he wants to make Cam a pocket passer - but I reiterate that Cam is not a pocket passer. He is a mobile QB and he threw for record yards being a mobile QB. I don't think Cam can function as a pure pocket passer. He needs a scheme which gives him the option to use his legs and extend plays. Cam did not come out of college as an accomplished pocket passer. He came out as a big-armed running QB.

Raleigh by way of Crooklyn
We shoulda hired Chip Kelly and been done with it. Ol man Richardson didn't wanna pay Rivera not to be the coach anymore. So, barring some mirarculous winning streak, Rivera is just a lame duck coach. Any other GM/owner would've seen that's what needed to be done. I think Chip was thirsty to coach Cam and the Panthers. Now who's out there this offseason that we can get? Nobody. I'm not even sold on Cam coming back next year. I say we tank the whole season and draft the homie Teddy Bridgewater. :manny:

Should've been filed awhile ago. I'm still wondering why Cam isn't running read option like Kaep or RGIII when he might be the biggest and most durable of all the mobile QBs. Still wondering why the Panthers shyt the bed every damn game. It's all coaching.

ATL…overly
Sammy Watkins? or do they go defense in april.

Id go Teddy Bridgewater if he's available. :mjpls: Team needs a QB. 2-13 in one score games ain't good, and it ain't all on the coach either
