he has four classic mixtapes as well as two classic albums. the level of lyricism on those 6 bodies of work EASILY surpass the lyricism of 80% of rappers EVER breh. Yea, his song making skills have been shaky after The Cool, but I can never say he was a waste of potential

four classic mixtapes? :mjlol::camby:

if you can shyt on Fahrenheit 1 & 15th series & Enemy Of The State I can't take your opinion on hip hop seriously.

Part 1 and 2 of the fahrenheit series and Enemy of the state are the only mixtapes he has close to classics.

But he has ZERO classic material. All three of those tapes have too much filler I'm afraid, not to mention the fact he didn't really have an identity as an artist in the fahrenheit series.

Worst part is he had me at :lupe: when The Cool dropped only to disappoint me with everything else:umad::flabbylupe:

Kendrick pretty much took his lane and went twice as far than Lupe did in a fraction of the time...he's as jaded as pretty much any rapper I can think of as of late and it's starting to affect his music...there's just this sense of joylessness I get from most of his recent work, makes listening to it as much of a chore as it feels like it was for him to record...doesn't bode well, i listen to his sh!t and just think he's tired of the rap game

That song judging by the live version sounds like it's going to be his best single since The Cool era.

Japan, but from the 989
Yeah Lupe has fallen off. I blame this shyt on Atlantic and his over-realization of the system here in America. The last two albums were nothing compared to the first two. And Lasers should be erased from history.

Food and Liquor II coulda/shoulda been a LOT better than it was. Bruh needs to stop being so self righteous and start making sense again

Couldn't agree more with this post, my sentiments exactly.

Only Kendrick is half as talented.

Hip Hop is basically settling for him as the savior because the masses lost faith in Lupe.
