I love both to death , but outside of Mk 1-3 and recently 9, I've played more of street fighter. Plus off the strength of watching the animated street fighter movie earlier, gotta roll with them.

Street fighter feels better as a game, and is more simple while having more complexity ( sounds weird to say but I can't describe it any other way).

However, MK has cooler characters, better artwork, cooler special moves, more maturity, better movies, better story modes, better sounds, better music, better character select screen, better endings, better lore, better universe, better super moves.

The only street fighter game that wasn't on some clown-ass cartoony shyt was street fighter 3 (2nd impact and third strike are equally as good).

Street Fighter Ultimately. Though I've always loved MK as well. I love practically all fighting games though.

SF as a series >>>>> MK as a series. I only played a bit of SFII, MK2-3 as a kid, but you don't even have to have played em much to know SF2 and Third Strike wipe the floor with every 90s/00s MK game. The first MKs were cool at the time and very flashy, but the gameplay itself, by today's standards, isn't very good at all.

But both are my two favorite fighting series now and their latest entries are in my top 5 favorite fighters of all time. SF4 is what really got me into 2D fighting games (bought the arcade stick, started watching Evo, all that shyt) and MKX is my favorite fighter since SFIV. Hella dope game. Excited for SF5 and I can't wait to see what Netherrealm does after MKX.
