:patrice: did everyone forget???

My point is everything with the original came out at once. We won't be getting the full game for a few years

The voice isnt the problem, its the dialogue and over the top exaggerations...:mjtf:

The voice is the problem though, nothing wrong with the dialogue if executed properly. But they'd have to find a "real" brother to execute it. Like I hear people that talk like that all the time, but it doesn't sound like a caricature of people that actually speak like that.

They might as well got RDJ to VA barret, he probably would have done a better job...

So this episode will go up to the point where they escape Midgar, and be released on two blu-ray discs. Apparently goes deeper into the events happening in Midgar at the time too.

Sounds like it'll be well worth the money

It's not the same, the classic mode just automates the new battle system and makes it feel like you're not actually playing the game.

There wasnt enough to conclude if the action hack and slash style of battle is trash or not, it was fun, but knowing square enix, they'll find a way to fukk it up.

I would have rather had an updated battle system in the same vein as ff10.

Agreed but for some reason new gamers that didnt grow up on 90s / 00s RPGs can't stand turn based combat... idk why.

Square had to make an economic decision

Imo actually dont got a problem with Barrett.

Make me rememeber that we are actually eco terrorists going up vs the #1 richest company in the world . That's gon make anybody off, especially with the paranoia of being an underground guerilla squad

I don't understand this, how can that feel less like playing the game than turn base which you literally don't do anything but press one button to select a move or item?

What's the difference?

I guess I don't understand what players like you want, combat that mimic's active turn base or to engage in combat manually. Or is it just you want to be able to not worry about enemies attacking you?

That's what you'd think, but games like persona, divinity original sin, octopath traveler, dragons quest, etc. Shows that turn based RPGs can still work.

I actually dont have a problem with action RPGs, I have a problem with square's take on the whole action rpg gameplay. They've been trash at it so far and people have been screaming for them to go back to turn based gameplay for the final fantasy series.

Most people feel like final fantasy fell off after 10 when they started experimenting with the battle system. Final fantasy 7 is one of my favorite games ever, and I dont want them to turn it into FF15 with a 7 reskin. I dont trust square not to fukk this up.

It's a distinct feeling that the game wasn't meant to be played in that manner. You're just watching the characters do shyt that you could be doing on your own. It doesn't flow very well.

I dont want a game that mimics active turn base, I want real active turn based gameplay. The gameplay that they built the series on, not the gameplay they fukked the series up with. It feels more like a weird rpg hack and slash game, and thats not what comes to mind when I think of final fantasy 7. Plus square is usually trash at designing action rpg games.

Put it like this, people hated when capcom changed resident evil from a survival horror game into a third person action shooter, that's how I feel about the new system. It could be fun, but it's not what I want for the series.
