Yes:mjcry:

Been replaying Ninja Gaiden 2 on Gamepass.

Imagine a modern AAA game with gameplay like that:wow:
Yeah, Bayonetta 2, Devil May Cry 5, Sekiro etc.

U only play arcadey games with no cut scenes at all?

Because even Ninja Gaiden 2 is a "movie game" by this silly critique.

Oh no even FIGHTING games are movies now :mjcry:

Gears is a movie game too

Sunset Overdrive all cutscenes

No game is without cutscenes breh stop with this fake concern.

wonderful presentation but i seriously hope i can make this more of a traditional rpg. i dont want half assed action controls. i once read somewhere that there will be an oldschool mode or something.
The classic mode is in the demo but it's not very good.

Yea if anything it’s more button mashing then movie game.
U wasn't button mashing your way to fights once you got to the scorpion. The stagger bar and needing to use different abilities like Thunder to weaken and quickly raise the pressure meter to stagger the enemy is far from button mashing. Also punisher mode too making multiple enemy fights more efficient. This is far from button mashing and feels much more strategic than FFXV which felt chaotic and wild with not knowing what is going to happen. I already got the flow of Cloud's moves within a few battles and we didn't even get into the ATB gauge.

Don’t worry, it’ll come on the Xbox maybe next year then I’m sure you’ll magically love it
IDGAF what system it's on, I'm not broke like you and can afford both. I'm on record saying IDC about FF7, and IIRC, I called it the most overrated game of all time. shyt is unimpressive. Sitcho hoe ass down, Stan ass loser.

Now you’re the one playing dumb here. Never said anything about cutscenes.:stopitslime:

On topic. Demo was good. Got all the feels back from the OG game. The boss fight was good. Hopefully there’s more strategy to the combat as you go further.

nikkas saying button smashing? :scust: nah its similar to the ff 13 atb where u use magic or physical depending on the enemies weakness and hit them until they staggered, after they are staggered then u unload on the enemy...:dame: simple concept.... am assuming if i had another party member had thunder i could have defeated the boss in less time:hubie:

Kotaku getting killed for giving semi criticizing review of the demo.

I understand where they are coming from and will probably feel the same way. Playing the game and knowing that you re gonna be play like two-sixths or 1 fourth of a game is kinda jarring. Especially when the next part of the game probably won't be release until 2022 at the very earliest but more realistically 2023-2024 at which point you still have another 1 to 2 games to go.....

If you've never played FF7 you're golden (outside of probably getting major spoilers which complete kills some of the "umph" of what made the game) but you'll at least wont have a road map of this this and this needs to happen or how close you are or should be to the end.

Kotaku is also known for having terrible takes in general, as well as their journalists not doing their research, so it's probably not just off the strength of FF7 alone.

And I mean, sure, it'd be nice to have all the games ready to go. But the other options look much worse, and even though people might say "I'll gladly wait if it means getting all the parts"... Hindsight is always 20/20. People think they want those options until they realize what comes with it. A fully-faithful FF7 on HD consoles spanning the entire story? That's definitely going to take a long time, and that won't be cheap. And seeing as how people are already making PS5 jokes, it would've been even worse if they had went down that road.

It's like how people complained about the two month delay for FFXV, bought the game in November and said, "Yeah, you guys made me pay for an unfinished game. :francis:" Persona 5, on the other hand, was originally supposed to drop Winter 2014. We didn't get that until Spring 2017. But look at how amazing that game turned out, it's classic status and P5R looks like it's gonna raise that even more.

Of course, more dev time doesn't always equal out to an amazing game, because some games can take years and still end up being complete duds. However, in those cases, at least you can never say that the game was terrible because it was rushed -- those games are terrible due to it just not being a good game overall, and time wasn't going to save it.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that as much as every FF fan would love the entire experience on a disc right here and now, fully faithful and expansive... I think most of us would rather Square take their time with the Remake and deliver what they can for the moment.

I was upset that we can't encounter battles like the OG. I mean if realism is what they're looking for, it could've been like this with an upgraded battle theme

They said each FFVII part will be as long as a full length FF game too. Let's see for comparison, this demo was about an hour long or so and that was just the scorpion battle.

The original took about 23 minutes to get to where this demo ends story wise and this is just a linear section. The trailer that showed after the demo ends showed open areas in Midgar which probably means it's going to be quite a lot of stuff to see.
