I tried the demo a third time with classic mode. It's really just a very easy mode. The character moves and attacks automatically but you can regain control if you like. This is a good mix for neophytes and garbage gamers. It won't satisfy the annoying purists though.

It did feel like that at points, but its also the tutorial. The boss fight didnt feel like a movie game.

I felt the challenge and strategy there. Hopefully that continues with the regular enemies and not just the boss fights

They're accessories so they probably have little status boosts.

There's like one very vocal person in this thread that's trying to convince everybody that the battle system is trash and is exactly like FFXV/KH3. I'm like

shyt is crazy because this was just a short demo and you know how much stuff we haven't even tried? Tifa, Aerith, summons, materias etc. This the best FF has ever played in years. Saying it's like FFXV is crazy because it doesn't feel anything like that. It may on the surface look similar but it certainly don't feel the same. It's more like KH/FFXIII and FFVII mixed together.

Havent read that far back, but whoever posted that has a pretty dumb opinion. I legit came in this thread just to say how surprised I am at the weight and speed of the battle system, and how I had more fun fighting a damn security dog then the whole first part of XV.

after running it in the story mode... i missed the strategy side......you really gotta have your head IN the fight all time... really...its the best figthing system i have ever tested

the boss went from being hard to dead easy..will do a third run and try all the blocks and evade an shyt... will try to keep my potions this time.

but you can tell.. at least 30 hours will be spent grinding...

Man I wasn’t expecting that scorpion fight to be that tough.

I’m still programmed on FF15, so I was getting worked. I used all my ethers and half of my potions.

I never played FF7, is this game only going to take place in this city? So like no hunting or exploring a vast land?

No, that's only the beginning. There's A LOT of vast land exploring in FF7.

Once you leave Midgar, you might come back once or twice....but other than that the other 90% of the game takes place all over the globe
