Yeah, Advent Children came out that year. The tech demo was just an extension of that animation used in the movie at the time.

I'm glad development was pushed towards the PS4. Looking at that tech demo we would've gotten a weak looking remake in comparison to what's possible now on PS4. They made the right call and knowing that next gen is right around the corner that means the next couple of parts will be even more mind blowing since they'll be made to take advantage of even more powerful hardware.
