Users on multiple gaming forums are reporting that the pre-load date for the FF7 Remake has changed from April 7–8 to April 2–3, 2020. With Square Enix moving the pre-load date a full five days ahead, some are speculating that this means we might be getting the game earlier than its intended release date.

Just got an email from GAME (UK) saying my deluxe edition is being processed as we speak and will be shipped the day before release so I get it the next day jheeeeeeze can't wait.

So that's a true long full length game.

Were you in the hype camp, and this lived up to it? Or were you in the skeptical camp and it turned you into a believer?

Sceptical. Impressed with the graphical technical aspect, but I hated the boss fight in the demo and the permanent potion feeding.
It worked a lot better now after playing it again and after you get new skills and get into the really interesting materia and weapon upgrade system, it's so much better. And it really surprised me everywhere, I didn't expected a presentation on this level with cutscenes and characters which could be straight out of a Kojima game. I didn't expected so much story and character development in such small intervals.
Specially chapter 4 doesn't give you room to breath. It's incredible.
You can feel that a lot of the 100 GB has to be for the way they tell the story.

This is great to hear never played the OG but it looks like making the game in several parts to accurately keep everything was the right move for Square Enix.
