This is unbalanced. Wu Tang shouldn't even be in the tournament and considered a crew like G-Unit, Dipset, Dungeon Family etc. if the solo albums count. They aren't going to lose and are going to beat out groups with more better catalogs as a group because of the inclusion of solo albums.

Tournament was supposed to be only group albums. First Wu matchup where it mattered (against Mobb Deep) people started basing their votes on the solo albums as well. Check the Wu-Mobb thread for the arguments put forth by @Ayo!-BEZ and @Billy Ocean on this subject. I was arguing against the solos being counted against Mobb Deep - but since they were used against Mobb Deep - its only fair that they be used against everyone.

meanwhile, wu gave us 2 great albums, countless dope solo albums ( which are really group albums just featuring one member more). i count at least 4 or 5. so 3 for tribe vs 7 for wu. ima go with wu. still i probably prefer tribe best stuff to wus best isht. tribe are second only to PE for me in mastering the rap album format.

man, i was gonna vote for wutang in this round but them niccas gotta go.

im pretty much disgusted by this solo chit. especially after the last round, where dudes went str8 to the solos when facing NWA, a group that only has 2 1/2 albums.

chit is mad corny. especially seeing that i specifically said that the solos dont count, and its a seperate tournament for that. but dudes counted the solos anyway. chit is so corny. its like dudes KNOW that theyre full of chit. then they want to turn around and pretend that wutang is some sort of consensus goat group. FOH.

i dont think tribe is the best group ever, but i think their music, even more than outkast, symbolisies what great crossover rap music should be.. musical, inclusive, not dumbed down, eclectic, sophisticated. tribe are the reasons why nirvana cant be the best group of the 90's.

When I do these best of things, I go MC for MC..and I feel like I can take two MCs out of Wu and put them up against Phife and Tip, bar for bar, line for line, and they'd outpace them. I think Tribe has two classics, and wu has two classics. I think each group has a good album (People's, The W) and some misses (Beats Rhymes Life, 8 Diagrams) but there is good material to mine from all of it. At that point, it goes down to who has the better rappers and since it's not fair to compare an 8 or 9 man crew to what is essentially a duo, you gotta make it a 2 on 2 matchup and if I took Meth and Ghost or Rae and Ghost or Meth and GZA or any combination that's not ____ and Cappadonna (current Cap, not 95-97 Cap) then Wu gets the W..pun intended
