Wow drizzy season has returned
yesterday was the first time I 'really' listened. before that I was like whatever, cuz it's Drake.
i can understand if dude is just not ur style of artist or person...
but you have to give him props and credit. HE IS doing exactly was a rapper and artist should do (and what most artist aren't doing) and you can tell this nikkas work ethic is damn near unmatched right now.
Passion and lyrics- he has that. Even if he drops some corny lines and sings like he wants to suck a dikk...... Objectively - you can't say his album isn't good and that it would be 1 million soon bout to do triple plat if this was 90's.
Nah homie...keep it in this era... Drake would be MC Brains and Candyman status in the 90's and he would've gotten his ass run off for that simp/soft music like he was Vanilla Ice back then. We are talking about a boom bap, rugged, gangsta, southern playalistic and etc era. He wouldn't have had any impact back then. Drake is in the right era for him to proper. Keep it where it is and don't compare.
you are an idiot and you don;t remember the 90s all that wellNah homie...keep it in this era... Drake fan base isn't restricted to just rap fans
If you pushing 658k in 2013 you doing platinum+ first week 10 years ago
Well go back and look at the top hiphop songs in the 90sNah...you were breast feeding back then...i remember it very well. I was one of those people coming up in that era.
You do know that 2003 isn't the 90's right?
Even still you are...
Wrong...
In the 90's [the era of dail-up and when A&R's had to actually do a job]
1. The internet wasn't as readily available like it is now back then
2. That grudge shyt had most white folk back then...and the pop shyt was on some "Barbie Girl" vibe
3. Rap was still mostly dictated by DJ's breaking records and having a real street team. [Drake wasn't gonna get that J Prince push when Rap-a-Lot was still pushing their artist and Cash Money was still wobbling and blinging in the shadow of No Limit.
4. Back then Rap artist rapped and R&B artist sang. That mixing of the 2 wasn't popping back then.
You are basically saying Drake = Lauryn Hill...but back then he would have been Smooth status at best.
Drake = Snow [Informers fame] back then.
lol, I came up in the 80s and 90s...Nah...you were breast feeding back then...i remember it very well. I was one of those people coming up in that era.

Doing numbers like its pop![]()
It is pop
That would be Eminem and Mackelmore
@ all of these stuck in 94, new york undercover cast member ass nyggas acting like Drake isn't the king. Fake ass ballers would rather listen to kendrick lamar, examine multi's and drink 40's in some Lugz boots
