Quality music is being made and distributed everyday. No doubt about that. People's taste however can become stagnant. Even then people are always loyal to something. Sometimes people are just loyal with whatever the mainstream feeds them. Some people are just loyal to new music and trying new tings or extensions of what they already liked.
I find it interesting how what the "streets" listens too has changed a lot in the last 10 years.
