Bro, I get what you saying but that's not white supremacy. I've lived for a short spell in London and Hong Kong and have observed the same thing, yes, even in London surprisingly.

America did not colonize, with the exception of Hawaii, Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico, which all became states, like other countries did. We don't have an extensive footprint on colonization. We do/did have foreign territories like Guam but those were acquired through either treaties or purchased outright.

America establishing itself as a global power was solidified through our participation and assistance in the World Wars. Not from colonizing other nation states. Additionally, Americans have not out migrated in large mass and settled other territories.

There is a difference in saying that we benefit from our American nationalism because of the fact that America is a global power which was establishes by in large by our participation in the World Wars. However, I'm not sure we can say that our status as a global power is because of white supremacy or American colonialism because we did not colonize in the way that western European countries did. There is a line there, and it may be thin, but the line is still there.

America doesn't use the term colonization but it uses sphere of influence. America has colonized in another way...through economics, military, pop culture and trade. America is the reason for a lot of countries failing or thriving like Japan, South Korea, Panama, and even canada.

Eeh, I think that's a lot of misdirected anger.

Focusing on white privilege as he describes it, which is just white individuals doing their usual thing, is backward thinking. The issue is the endemic state of power deprivation of colonized countries. Injustice in treatment felt by people from those countries isn't the price of white privilege; the system that allows it wasn't built to those ends. Caring about that mole hill is just caring about the white gaze.

this is exactly what I was saying in that other thread about the Sri Lankan dude video.

It's not about white privilege. It's individuals taking advantage on already established larger systems of dominance. Which might be annoying but is just a distraction from the larger issues allowing it to happen.

The key difference here is that in one instance outside money disrupts the local real estate market, pushing locals out. The other instance is putting money into the economy unless your argument is foreigners are fukking up the local p*ssy peddling market.
