Like I said before on here even as a black american.

That american dollar, american passport and THAT AMERICAN MILITARY allows us to go anywhere in the world outside america and get a jump up that many of our fellow black folks from other parts of the world aren't able to do.

Also don't think just cause you a black american that you don't benefit from american colonialism when you travel to other countries. Talking about white supremacy/colonalism here in america then benefiting from american white supremacy/american colonialism when traveling overseas is something folks really really and I mean really don't want to talk about.

To be fair, no one(really until VERY recently with the ADOS movement) even wanted to acknowledge how mass immigration to America negatively effects black Americans, and how racist attitudes and cultural disrespect by immigrant poc and black immigrants has exposed the divide between black Americans and these other groups. Nor does anyone want to talk about the privilege immigrant groups have had by not being dependents of American chattel slavery. The tone deafness has been a two way street. But even moreso with immigrants, as most black Americans don’t even have the funds to move abroad and benefit from American colonialism and the dollar. While black Americans do benefit from American privilege, most black Americans don’t even have the funds to travel abroad due to so many economic factors that can be dated back to slavery. When black Americans start migrating en masse and wrecking the economy for poorer folks in other countries, then I think this convo would be more even.
