Anybody use ai to write a book,?

I tried early on, I need to try again.

I would dump parts of what I write into chat gpt, and then it organizes my thoughts.

The problem is, *I* think there's more "brilliance" in how I put it down, and how i'll edit it. (so I think I'm smarter about what I write than Chat GPT...)

Even in partnership, fixing the end product is more of a chore, rathern wrestle with it myself from the start.

The LLMs basically takes my "outlier" way of thinking and writing, and bring it into more typical speech patterns - with more typical thoughts.

Its that easy? Any prompts or words to make it sound more human? :ohhh:

The best advice for prompts is literally just dump your thoughts into it. How you’re thinking it, type it. It will get what you’re saying…as you get results then you can tailor to voice, give AI a role/skill level, etc. But tbh it isn’t really necessary. Just always review yourself

I’ve seen people say ‘I want to write a 5 page essay for my Psych 101 class, what should I have as a prompt’……ngga that’s the prompt :heh:

And I guess I’ll pass this along: At my job me and another guy are known as AI gurus. Basically bc we’re not intimidated by it. His style is more formal, he makes it seem difficult enough so he can scare people into thinking he’s a wonderkid. Meanwhile his formal approach —-a prompt alone can be 3 paragraphs——will have worse results than my simple informal prompts.

AI as a whole ia being socialized to make barriers to access and create revenue steams for people to get certified, go to school, etc . It’s all bullshyt. I had to take Amazon’s very through AI course and honestly it’s all common sense type stuff that they formalized and made complex.

Y'all overcomplicate prompt and try to have someone tell you the magical button when most times the best prompts are personalized to your own imagination. Problem is most people, for lack of training, lack imagination

Get creative
