That's the first good move by Masai in a long time.
Great contract too. I guess that Josh Richardson contract extension really set the marketplace for Norm.
Also, if they don't want to go into the tax, they MUST move JV next season.

If theres any chance for improvement for the Raps this year, it'll have to come from Norm having a breakout season. Both ways thats very good value in the new CBA world.
This is a make or break year for a lot of the young guys too, they're going to be capped out this year and next. They need someone else to emerge from that group of Siakam, Poeltl, FVV, OG and Delon
Team friendly contract,i heard this deal was offered to him a few months ago,i wonder why he decided to take it now...I can see both sides of the argument.
Id love to know if he changed his mind or his agent convinced him to take it now that its likely that he isnt going to start the season as a starter...
