They REALLY need to trade JV. He's way too slow to react to anything out there. I just don't know they're going to get rid of him without getting rid of a 1st. Masai gotta stop signing people to big contracts so early. I dunno about Norm...I think Casey needs to swap him and Miles. FVV has been awful, he's playing like a worse version of Cojo from last year.

Ron Baker getting $9 mil was so fukking dumb. He's a 3rd string PG and he hasn't played in weeks
Cleanthony Early did get cut a year after he got shot in the leg.
I think FVV has proved he's a 3rd string PG at best, but it looks like Casey insists on playing him.
Masai does a good job evaluating talent (for the most part). He is falling in the same traps that Colangelo did though, he holds onto his players way after they've shown their ineffectiveness. If the Sixers can't get a 1st rounder back for Jahlil Okafor, the Raps are probably stuck with even worse offers for JV. Maybe they'll get rid of him in 2019 when they can deal him as an expiring

Norm is definitely best as the 1st guard off the bench. He doesn't fit with Lowry/DD at all. He's too small to guard most 3s.
Yeah, but would James Johnson ever get playing time under Dwane Casey? Probably not. It feels like Masai is sabotaging himself with all of these decisions. It doesn't look like this team is moving on up, and they're over the cap next year and Masai has a lot of salary committed to a mediocre team. No way they'll be able to trade Norm, his contract is so long. JV is just not a fit with any team. Ibaka is so inconsistent and he's just not as athletic as he used to be. Lowry is on the wrong side of 30. DD is a non-shooter. How is he going to make this all work next year and keep MLSE happy?

kyle lowry is done why sign a pg who struggles to stay in shape to that salary prob the easiest position to plug in is a point guard
id rather have traded for ricky rubio with a first rounder than signing Lowry to that deal
Ibaka deal was bad. I wonder what the market was like for Lowry. I honestly think they could've gotten a better deal for him. Easier said than done to plug in a new guard when you have a coach that struggles to develop talent. Casey is no Rick Carlisle, Brad Stevens or even a Kenny Atkinson.
i say 20 maybe 25, all depending on how minutes hoenas gets
