Val in a competent offense can be a tad more productive & have a greater impact. The atrocity called an offense Casey runs:hhh:

No he cant, yes Casey is incompetent but Val is a mediocre center who has topped out at 13/9

Thats what he is its been 5 years hes not suddenyl going to become David Robinson.

hes slow footed, has zero lift, has a limited post game,is very physically weak for 260 lbs and misses alot of wide open shots and bunnies around the basket...Hes way too slow, indecisive and inconsistent to give the ball to 15 times a game....

Casey is horrible but Val being mediocre has nothing to do with coaching, thats a separate issue.

Casey ISO ball is holding him back from having more of an impact. You're too focused on the actual numbers. He could be used a lot better than they do. Even from the games I saw the lack of pick n roll he was involved in was puzzling.

i understand people don't like Val and hes been lackluster in ways but i catch a lot of raptor games and as a Cavs fan he gives them problems. I feel he can be used better. iw ould like to see him in another system before coming to my conclusion on him but I get it.

Val is val and yup that's what your going to get

I guarantee if you gave poetl Val's minutes you get the same damn output prob even better and better d

Absolutely hes got quicker feet you can see that in spot minutes that he plays hes already a better defender because he gets to the spot faster...

Im not focused on the damn numbers, the numbers are a reflection of his mediocrity...You cant really rely on a PnR with him because he isnt a great finisher,he has bad hands and he has bad habits around the basket such as bring the ball down where its easy to strip it....

Hes not a good PnR big man,hes best suited as a post up C and he doesnt excel at that on a regular basis. The argument you have to create offense for him and run plays for him is faulty because of his liabilities and repeated inconsistent execution, hes best suited to being a 3rd or 4th option who finds offense off broken plays or defensive sets where hes not guarded...

If they ran an actual offense would he not be the 3rd or 4th option. From the games I saw he does a great job along with TT of keeping the ball high on rebounds

You saw 3 games max. and 2 of them were against Brooklyn,he is a 3rd option at BEST on this team or any other team.Alot of other teams he's be a 4th or 6th man.
Yes hes good at keeping balls alive on the glass as long as hes up against point guards a foot shorter than him...he doesnt rebound or grab 50/50 balls against other 7 footers or big bodies who push him out...

Im not arguing Valanciunas with casuals that dont watch this team...

Some guys just can't play. Joey had all the gifts, but he just couldn't remember a single play. He was a two sport guy out of college too right? Maybe he should've stuck with football. Interestingly enough, Joey's twin Stephen has stuck around the league and is an assistant coach with the Nuggets.

So how good is OG? Do we expect him to get big minutes in his first year?
