Fired for being five minutes late

May be a low end IT gig. I can be hours late and they are still not firing me because no one outchea can program their way out of a paper bag or operate a network

No, I've been a few minutes late before but like I said it's between 2-7 minutes.. That's technically late, but it's petty. I live over an hour away and stay late most if the time.

What's up w/ the emails part?

There were a few occasions where someone would have an issue after hours and I send emails asking for help instead of calling the help desk like they are supposed to. Or I will have to drive in on a Sunday to restart a sever.. I be In class and can't help them.. One time it was 11:30pm

I dont know why people even bother working for staffing agencies. Just go out and find a job for yourself, are you that lazy?


They are known for screwing people over. They stuff you in shyt jobs just so they can get paid. they dont give a shyt about you.

there are also plenty of non contract IT jobs... you just have to look, not sit back and let some head hunter scoop you up.. man up and take control of your own career...

not only that, firing for being 5 mins late is just an excuse.. you had to have been fukkin up real bad in other aspects.. IT people are valuable to a company.. they dont like having to hire and fire them.

I did.. The traffic out here is unpredictable.. Like I said it can take anywhere from 50 to 1hr 30 to get in.. I leave my house at 6:15 to get in at 7:30..
