when I get interviewed by a black person I know I'm not getting the job. They are scared to bring in a black person and be looked at like they as re helping their own people.

:mjpls:
Depends.

Black women take care of me, I've gotten hired on to great jobs because of em. The only c00ns I encountered like this in HR and management was men. I've had problems with Black women as managers but not anything major.

I went on a interview with this black lady and she asked me is pay was ok and I said "it's cool" then she gave me a lecture saying if she wasn't black I wouldn't talk like that.. Didn't get the job.. I go on a interview with a white guy and I say the same thing when it gets to pay "it's cool" got the job and they paying me double what the other job was offering.
I'm sorry but that's on you fam. She took it the wrong way but you also shouldn't have been casual with her. Y'all don't know each other... :manny:

Everywhere...You never there.

When it comes to interviewers, older, (usually married), content, black women are so a1. If you’re qualified, not arrogant and don’t shyt on youself and can be personable, you have a legit shot as a black male.

Last older black woman interviewer panel I faced wanted to bring in a potluck for me afterward. All were secure in their positions and in their lives. You could just tell.

It’s so much psychology when you’re interviewing for non technical positions ...

If your socio-emotional IQ is trash then y’all might wanna read up on it... helps a lot to be able to read a room and respond accordingly .

Many interviewers in non technical positions are insecure as fukk. You have to read them and the tone of the early interactions and adapt to put THEM at ease :snoop:

I’ve been lucky. Every sinlge job I’ve interviewed for has been with a black person. Especially now I’m in the education field and I only apply to majority black schools. They’ve all had black principals

Atlanta really the black Mecca :blessed:

i think the moral of the post was that he was just being himself and the white man gave him the job, the black woman gave him a lecture about his vocab , which he still did not compromise in the next interview :yeshrug:

I get that point but again it's on you to be professional and not assume anything. For all you know the Black woman might be reacting like that based on past experiences.. I recently dealt with a Black recruiter in her 60's and she told me that "my people give me the hardest work"

I got my first corporate gig because of a black woman and then I did training for a month and was promoted before I even did the job u was hired for because of another Black woman. She recognized my skills and moved me into working in a field I would never have broken into otherwise. The least you could do is assume nothing and keep it regular till you know these people.
