What you don't get is, it's a marathon not a sprint. First take has had over 10 years to build it's brand and audience up and simply because undisputed didn't take them down in their 1st week does not mean the war is over.
Personally I'm not rooting foe 1st take to fall, just pointing out that they can't sit back arrogant thinking they safe. Shannon is a more credible black man than stephen A who speaking the real to black issues while stephen spent the past few years saying the most outlandish c00nish nonsense we have ever heard, meaning shannon can swoop in and steal a ton of black viewers, and as far as white characters who troll games on a hundred thousand trillion, skip is light years ahead of max who is a good personality but the troll game just not in him, and as the Nfl and nba seasons come up and skip starts his "about to unleash" hedging his bets so he can have a argument whether his picks win or lose and find his players in the Nfl and nba to call overrated and be his season whipping boys, while also finding his players to Stan which will have viewers tune in to hear his rants, you will soon start to see the tables turn a bit and in year 2 , those numbers will start to look a lot closer.
Not to mention being in Los Angeles making getting celebrities easy as hell on the set.
Take my word for it, the contest, them beginning to do face book live etc are all signs they on 1st take have discussed this and see what's on the other side and want to keep their viewership, too early to call a winner, then you turn around 2 years from now and undisputed smoking 1st take in ratings.

FS1’s “Speak for Yourself” with Colin Cowherd, Jason Whitlock and Jason McIntyre premieres on Monday at 6 p.m. ET and viewership numbers for the premiere episode will be out around 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
There is a tendency to want to compare FS1 with ESPN. That tendency is as understandable as it is ridiculous. And unless you like comparing Toyota Corolla’s to Lexus LS’s the comparison is definitely ridiculous.
At this point someone usually hits me with the “Yeah, but ESPN had a 30+ year head start!” speech. That’s a damn fine speech too and probably does a great job motivating the FS1 troops. It also has the benefit of actually being true! But that truth is a mere distraction compared to the broader truths for FS1:
I’m not disparaging FS1* or its staff. FS1 has a lot of great people. But great people can’t overcome bad math. And the math is quite bad for FS1. Maybe the way I do the math I come up with ESPN having 8 times the cable carriage revenue FS1 has and maybe when you do the math you come up with ESPN having 9 times as much revenue or 7 times as much revenue. But no matter how you do the math ESPN has more than 5 times as much cable carriage revenue as FS1 leaving FS1 in a spot where it can’t compete with ESPN for sports rights.
*I’m not disparaging Toyota owners either, I drive a Honda CR-V not an Acura MDX!
Update for clarity: I’m not suggesting FS1 can’t compete at all for sports rights, obviously they can since they have some! I’m just saying FS1 isn’t anywhere close to competing for them on an even footing with ESPN.
