First there was Jordan, then came Kobe, then came Lebron. Who and where is the 4th coming?

Westbrook has all the physical tools and bball skills to be a once in a generation player at the pg/off guard spot but he lacks elite bball IQ. If he had Wade's bball IQ, he would really mess the league up something terrible.
I agree but once he settles his game down and improves his jump shot it's lights out

bruh if derrick rose's claim to fame after 6 NBA seasons is scoring the most points in a playoff debut and being the youngest MVP ever, then god bless that man's heart.

(now i can easily say that the 2009 celtics team wasn't as strong as you make them out to be since missing their defensive anchor in KG, but i wont)

also, jason terry averaged 18 points on 49% shooting in the 2011 Finals and lebron james averaged 18 points on 47% shooting in the 2011 Finals. if it really makes you feel better to hear that jason terry outplayed him, then fine, jason terry outplayed him.

now that we got that out of the way - is lebron james, along with MJ and kobe, a generational talent? yes
is derrick rose? hell no

first off this thread is all types of wrong just listing mj, bean, bron.
as real talk, this thread is really all about gym shoes.
it isn't about Gen based talent at all.
anyway, besides that and I am not a fukk'n Chicago sports team homer at all in one bit.
yet, derrick rose is a generational talent.
now, granted injury has saddled him, from consistently year to year being on a ball court.
yet, d rose is a Gen based talent.

anyway, I hope Wiggins or exum can be the next euro/non domestic players of lore.
if, not them I hope thon maker can become what he should be.

Rose's numbers look a lot worse when you realize that Lebron was playing with another high usage player in Wade while Rose was the absolute number one scoring option.

Lebron's 2nd year in the league was unquestionably better than Rose's_MVP season.

27.2 (46%) / 7.2 AST / 7.4 REB vs. 25 (44%) \ 7.7 AST / 4.1 REB

@CHICAGO, which one of those stat lines you taking? One of those is 2nd year Lebron, one is MVP Rose.

Rose has never...EVER....EVER been nearly as good as Lebron. They're not even on the same tier of ability.
I mean its doubtful that Rose would have reached Lebron's ceiling. He still could have been a once in a generation player :manny:

there will be a drought.

like Nas, Jay, Pac, Biggie era.... 10 + years later, and everyone in the game doesnt come to close.

this is why I find it funny when dudes aren't appreciative of players like Kobe. These guys are a once in a generation talent.

Once they're gone, they're gone and there's no guarantee that another superstar will pop-up. The sheer fact this thread covers 3 players over a span of 30 years says it all. Not that other players in timespan werent great, but there's another level of great that Kobe, MJ, Bron are on
