What kind of car do you have?

Do not buy cheap tires, go with a good name like mentioned above.

You can't go wrong with:

BFgoodrich
Goodyear
Bridgesone
Michelin

How are you a grown ass man and this is your first time buying tires for a car?

Dont kill yourself on price with tires dont listen to these ballers. i went to Firestone and threw 4 tires on my car for $550. they are not the best but there not the worst. what they are is good dependable tires.

every couple years you will have to change them even the good ones wear out fast so dont spend a grip on them its foolish. i got mine new ones last summer and the tread is still nice`

:ld: Depends on the car and what u use it for..if its short distances a cheap tire is better value ..a costly tire is a waste of money because the weather will destroy the tire before its used up.

If you still do the cross border simping you need a all weather touring tire to handle those miles..

Get some high performance all season tires rated for heavy rain and snow and you should be fine. That's what I usually do, runs me around 600/800.

If you have a high end/performance car thats the way to go but TBH that would be over kill for a corolla or camry.

Just go with factory specific, brand name tires and you'll be straight @His_Excellence_Reincar

Sound like you copped some Chinese made Primewells, unless you got some end of life Firestones for that price. (no disrespect intended).

Those are decent tires for everyday cars. If you don't need "Performance" tires. Then you really don't need to shell out $1k for tires.

Is the consensus to just mess with Michelin, Goodyear etc.?

You're in Canada, I don't know what brands are carried there.

I prefer brand names.
Michelin is expensive but good.
BF Goodrich, Pirelli, Goodyear, Firestone, Continental, Hoosier, Toyo, Kuhmo, Hankook, and Nitto are some known brands I trust.

I don't like/dig/trust General, Tiger Paw, Jar Jar Binks or any other brand I have never heard of.

I think he has a Honda Accord, that would be overkill. Since he in TO I would just get a set of all season tires from a major brand. I wouldnt spend more than $100-120 installed/balanced per tire.
