I hear you and I'm not an expert on Jets ball. But when I watched Fitz and Geno play, Fitz looked better to me. They both garbage but Fitz made decisions/throws that I just don't think Geno is good enough to make. Maybe it's the games I watch the Jets (probably national games against the Pats) but i'm saying though

3/4th of the players he threw to are no longer in the NFL. Reality is, I argued that Fitz is damn near a decade older and puts up the same production as a qb who in his second year improved. Fitz was the worst qb in camp not named Hack yet the white jets media hacks refused to admit it.

Article was totally on point though. Cats like Fitz and the McCown boys get chances time and again to start and earn backup roles with teams for years. But you are trying to tell me that a team shouldn't take a chance on a young guy like an EJ Manuel or Geno Smith who both were in bad situations to begin their career anyway. I mean as nice as he is if Cam goes 5-11 this season and again next year watch how many members of the "media' will begin to question him and his ability to lead a contender.
