Ren was that nikka once Cube left.

When they was all still together, popularity went something like..

1) Eazy
2) Eazy
3) Eazy
4) Cube
5) Dre
6) Arabian Prince
7) Ren
8) Eazy
9) Eazy
100) Yella

Ren is the author of one the best hip hop songs ever...."if it ain't ruff"...nikka was straight showing off all the skills on that track and Dre/yella killed it on the production.....Ren is a villain/ and y'all just a hostage/ so whenever I'm steppin/cover ya head like an ostrich....that shyt blew my lil 10 yr old mind at the time

if he wasn't down with NWA, yall wouldn't care.

most of his style was borderline dated by the time he came out too. still a classic album tho, but all this "coulda been goat" talk is crazy.
Negro you on that shyt! Funky Enough blew nikkas mind's, The D.O.C. had so many different flow's, breath control damn near flawless, he was very lyrical with knowledge of self, and had mastery of words

As far as popularity goes, he wasn't Eazy or Cube. Back then if you listened to hardcore rap and liked gangsta shyt, you bought that Kizz My Blak Azz EP.

Final Frontier was in constant rotation on The Box and they had a promo spot for the album. Southside of the Chi summer of 92', told my cousin man we gotta hit a mall or swap meet so I can get this shyt right here.

Went up in Musicland and they had the promo billboard for the album on display..

Paid $6.99 for that muhthafukka on sale, still got the original purchase in storage.

In the thanks column on the insert all it said was "Thanks to all those who stuffed they mouth with tissue and kissed my black azz"....

You can't really compare his popularity to a modern day rapper, no current group is as big as NWA was.

I guess this is the part where some clown says something like "b bu but Migos sold more records!".....Migos also did a song with Katy Perry. NWA went plat with no hit single, no top 40 hit, no radio play, and no video play outside of hip-hop only shows.

As far as popularity:

1. Eazy
2. Cube/Ren/Dre
3. Yella

Which seems like a cop out but Eazy was the star and then it was everyone else after him. Yella was the least popular.

Fred.

They sold more records then migos
