it's possible. The class I was in at the time was teh blackest white teacher I probably ever had. And while he wasn't "celebrating", I don't recall him being sad either.

He was more like "Not guilty.... "

You are not respecting the history nor the contemporary trends and data...black college enrollment is higher due to high schools giving bullshyt degrees and blacks go into colleges taking remedial courses that don't even count for credit, and many drop out after the first semester or first year...that's progress? Far less blacks are dying in the streets? have you seen the surge in state sponsored and private white terrorism against blacks? The rise in black on black crime in black cities? That's progress? Black property ownership is NOT up..in fact, the income, wealth, and ownership disparity gap with whites is widening and has been widening in the past few decades...

Point is you are not respecting the factual data or the historical trends and as long as you don't, you can't develop counterhegemonic activity that will help our people. And that's real. and none of this is from black militants. I am not a black militant. Again, since you refuse to pay attention, I am a historian and a social activist for my people.

and what "state sponsored and private white terrorism" are you talking about? zimmerman? that's once instance. an egregious and despicable instance, but ONE. it's not reflective of some pandemic of whites gunning down black boys. look, the facts are not completely promising. we are still disproportionately poor, imprisoned, etc. i'm not disputing that. i'm simply stating that black people are in much better shape compared to the 90s. that's all. i'm not saying things are great for us or that there isn't significant improvement to be made. not at all. i'm just asking that you stop trying to paint things as dire. we're making strides. they may be small, but they're steady.
