Yea Tesla, the guy who was ahead of his time
:unimpressed:

The fact that he had a problem with modern physics should tell you somethings up

It tells me that he was a bit of a pompous ass towards the end of his career.

Also later in 1935 when speaking with The New York Times, Tesla was critical of Einstein stating that his theory of relativity was “a beggar wrapped in purple whom ignorant people take for a king” and “a mass of error and deceptive ideas violently opposed to the teachings of great men of science of the past and even to common sense… the theory wraps all these errors and fallacies and clothes them in magnificent mathematical garb which fascinates, dazzles and makes people blind to the underlying errors…. its exponents are very brilliant men, but they are metaphysicists rather than scientists. Not a single one of the relativity propositions has been proved.”

Again I can see why tesla is a saint to flat earthers. He also denied quantum mechanics and existence of the electron.

Google "selenhelion eclipse". Its literally an impossibility in heliocentric theory yet it's a real phenomenon

This is a lie. It's not "impossible". It was thought to be impossible (Seeing a lunar eclipse and the sun at the same time), but there are a few reasons why this is entirely possible in heliocentric theory:

-Light refraction is the reason why selenhelion eclipses occur. (Our atmosphere refracts light and makes it seem like some objects are in a different place than they actually are).
You know, the same thing you observe in 3rd-4th grade science when you stick your pencil in to a cup of water and it looks as though the submerged part is in a different position. :martinbp:

-Selenhelion eclipses, when they do occur, aren't observable everywhere where the lunar eclipse is visible.
-Selenhelion eclipses are only visible for a short period time.

Simpleton. :bpmjtf:

Now Tesla is “pompous” for disagreeing with a THEORY?

One that he could most likely understand better than you?

If this is the flight path,

One-more-orbit-route-700x372.png

then they, on paper, didn't really do anything to show or prove the Earth is a sphere.

Now if they started in a say France, flew to Nigeria, then Brazil, NYC, L.A., Hawaii, Beijing, India, Kenya, and back to France. Then that would have done a far better job showing the Earth is a sphere.

The Mercator projection really f*cked up people's minds. :francis:

This image is flattened on purpose so you can see all the landmasses of Earth and the flight path at the same time.

He's pompous because he did more than just disagree.

“[Einstein is] a beggar wrapped in purple whom ignorant people take for a king” and “a mass of error and deceptive ideas violently opposed to the teachings of great men of science of the past and even to common sense… the theory wraps all these errors and fallacies and clothes them in magnificent mathematical garb which fascinates, dazzles and makes people blind to the underlying errors…. its exponents are very brilliant men, but they are metaphysicists rather than scientists. That's his fukking colleague :Dahellteef:

Personally I think flat eathers use tesla as an appeal to authority and it also helps that he opposed the theory of relativity since that would blow a hole in the flat earth argument.
