whats on the other side of the moon..
and, why do we only see one side of the moon..
Optimus Prime, Jazz and Bumblebee guarding that space bridge you know the Decepticons are plotting
The Mercator projection really f*cked up people's minds.
This image is flattened on purpose so you can see all the landmasses of Earth and the flight path at the same time.
He's pompous because he did more than just disagree.
“[Einstein is] a beggar wrapped in purple whom ignorant people take for a king” and “a mass of error and deceptive ideas violently opposed to the teachings of great men of science of the past and even to common sense… the theory wraps all these errors and fallacies and clothes them in magnificent mathematical garb which fascinates, dazzles and makes people blind to the underlying errors…. its exponents are very brilliant men, but they are metaphysicists rather than scientists. Not a single one of the relativity propositions has been proved.”
That's his fukking colleague :Dahellteef:
Personally I think flat eathers use tesla as an appeal to authority and it also helps that he opposed the theory of relativity since that would blow a hole in the flat earth argument.
That is exactly what it is, usually goes hand in hand with the bare assertion fallacy, certain sections of the "alternative" community (I use alternative very loosely here) love Tesla because:
1) He has become synonymous with the underdog which is true to a certain degree
and...
2) The idea that he was in possession of hidden knowledge/underground tech kept from the masses and spirited away after his death by the nebulous powers that be.
The problem now is that there is this weird personality cult that has sprung up around Tesla since his passing where scientists, pseudo-scientists, sycophants and otakus coalesce it's weird and aggravating AF, he's basically become electric Jesus
It's science priests and scientism and other dismissive terms until you put them in a position they can't google their way out of suddenly it's time to appeal to authority here comes Tesla, fools can't tell you about Michael Faraday or William Crookes though
Or Katherine Johnson for that matter
