The block was live back then! Crazy since it's only 1 block from Prospect Park, I wonder what it's like now. I love these videos, good footage like this of pre-9/11 New York is kinda hard to find.

The last Jouvert I went to, cats were clapping right around that block. I had a Heini in one hand and a Hiney in the other. Next thing I know we scattered ducking shots. Never again

But I’ll say this. In the Bronx and Harlem people still be outside heavy. Brooklyn not really unless you in Brownsville.

Even in Philly it was like that . I remember going to the store seeing drug dealers playing stick ball because "boredom". Dudes knew me as my uncle's nephew. shyt was like a tighter bond in them days. I don't even know what's happening anymore. The feeling is lost sadly...
