They announced yesterday that he wasn't coming back this season because his condition had gotten worse.

I'm still shocked it happened this quickly.

They pretty much told anyone who would listen to respect Flip's privacy as he was going through it (including the players). When that happened, everyone around started fearing the worst. Still shocking it happened now.

Makes it kinda remarkable how he was going through this yet he was all over the place working himself to the bone during that draft time. They had to basically force him to step away.

fukkin crazy man... Wow. I know he got worse but everthing i read said it was very treatable. Im shocked and sad. The happiest ive ever been as a wolves fan were times with flip coaching the team. RIP flip. I know KG is fukked up.

I heard last month it was curable RIP

He often got hated on for his coaching but I liked him and did the best with what he could, he played a big part in developing KG and I liked him as a coach on the Pistons and tried a lot with a team that immense championship pressure and the core team were kinda locked in their ways. I thought Sheed could have done more to work with him.

Man, this ruined my day. When they announced yesterday that he was out for the season, I figured it was bad but he just needed some time to get healthy. Flip seemed like one of the good, genuine people in sports. Awful news.
