Very odd to fire a coach after a win.
That means they let him go out there and coach knowing he was getting fired no matter what.
We have a bye this coming week. It's easier for an interim to take over during a bye than the start of a game week.

Goat time to be a great HC though, so many openings at top schools or if you stay at your school get a big azz raise

On the Flip side every coach hired will face unrealistic expectations. The landscape is different with the NIL so expecting this schools to have years stretch of dominance like the past might be tough.
I've laughed at Franklin for years but he'd be a godsend for Florida. They would go on their best run since Meyer if he was their coach.Few coaches can win the big one, but getting a guy like franklin is he's proven he can win at two schools before NIL and now with NIL.
florida gators haven't won more than 8 games in a season in 6 years
va tech not since 2017
What is the "big one"?
Because we could also say that about Chip Kelly and Dan Lanning.....It would be stupid as fucck but we could say it.

This was not true, and one of the main reasons why the trigger was pulled quick. He clearly did not want to be at Florida anymore and that's why I'll hate that fakkit more than Billy, even though Billy was a much worse coach on gameday.with Mullen I think he still wanted to be there
UF was his dream job. Idk if any if that nfl talk was legit but I wasn’t buying it.This was not true, and one of the main reasons why the trigger was pulled quick. Definitely.
I feel like Franklin & PSU was both tired of each other and needed to part ways.
But with Mullen I think he still wanted to be there and the trigger was pulled too quick in the middle of an anomaly of a downyear.
Dan Mullen is a grown man capable of leading a P5 program. Billy is not.Mullen had the same ego problem Billy had. Just like how Billy refused to hire an OC, Dan Mullen refused to fire Todd Grantham as defensive coordinator. By the time he fired him, it was way too late and he had lost control of the team.
