TikTok is fukking with kid’s attention spans and we wonder why all these little kids are bad asses and can’t sit down for more than a minute. The worst is when I see kids on TikTok with fukking headphones on. I’m all for this ban

It's not even close to being the same thing. The internet has fundamentally changed in the last 20 years. When you and I were growing up, we had Myspace and Blackplanet, but those sites weren't filled with psychologically destructive algorithms aimed at keeping us looped into a never ending cycle of "likes" and "content". The internet for us was about communication, talking to each other. Message boards like the coli are a throwback to that era. That's not what Tik Tok is. Tik Tok is there to specifically influence the human mind - and not in a good way.

Adults are crashing out behind social media algorithms. If adults can't handle it, children definitely can't.

Not to mention you had to go and sit at a computer for that shyt. Now everyone carries their computer with them everywhere in their pockets.
