Its brilliant if you think about it. Republicans have perfected the art of giving their constituents psychological benefits, while completely ignoring healthcare, economic , and educational benefits which actually do cost money. They do this while picking their pockets.
Notice they arent threatening to raise funding to schools that do rename their roads. Quite the opposite.

Going to sound mean and out of pocket but a lot of these cats aren’t too bright. If football wasn’t there they would be having a hard time. Not trying to be elitist but you have some of these dudes coming from rural Mississippi and places like that and poor as dirt and football is a chance at turning ther destiny around for generations if they don’t let some thot steal it all.
I think some people are expecting too much from individual players. It would take larger organizing to get them collectively on the same page.
