That's insane

I don't get why there aren't more top athletes going to boxing ain't no more dangerous that football

Think if maywheather was a heavyweight

Its alot easier to get into football then boxing. Boxing is probably the hardest sport to train for while football if you just have those genetics your at least guaranteed a college scholarship.

Let's not act like your average boxer is getting the guap that Mayweather is getting. There are more athletes making big money from football (and other sports) than the boxing game.

Mayweather has a combination of skills, but most importantly marketing and Al Haymon on his side, that sets him apart from anybody else.

Besides, boxing really isn't something that you just "get into" and become a beast at. The greatest boxers have been fighting since they were before ten years old; essentially, your parents have to PUT you in that position.

The fight will do WAY MORE than 1.6 ... Mosley did 1.5 ... This one will do like 2.4...

Mayweather will, all in all, make over $100 million or so for this one fight.

But with all that said, he still will make $80,000 an hour this year:deadmanny:

:wow: Nikka makes in an hour what most college grads make in a year  Is he going to be the first boxer to earn more than a billy in his career? I think after this he has 4 fights left right? If he grosses $100M each one, ....:wow:, just :wow:

I agree and disagree, yeah boxing requires a lot of discipline, but let's not front like most of the best talent is under 160 lbs, people too small to pay any of America's major sports. NFL/NBA got them contracts, while in boxing you're only as good as your last fight, and negotiations aren't that clean, and you gotta look out for them Bob Arum types. In boxing, you have to be a top boxer and also a pretty d*mn good businessman to make Floyd's money, none of which is guaranteed. Whereas in basketball/football/baseball negotiation is way more straightforward, and at least part, if not all of your contract is guaranteed, just look at Allan Houston/Rashard Lewis. If they were boxers they would have retired broke as hell :heh:

Only thing, don't say, "one night"...

Floyd works probably damn near 40 hours a week...

-He has to train
-He has to do promotions
-He has to talk to his advisors
-He has to send out promotional tweets
-He has to make sure his team is getting paid and they are all doing what they're supposed to be doing
-Has to make sure accountants aren't screwing him
-Has to eat healthy and not drink
-He has to be subject to random blood and urine testing

*He has to make sure he doesn't get hurt while doing all the above, otherwise the fight goes down the drain.

*Has to take time to clear his head from all the above stress (we all take breaks, but the stress of possibly losing your first fight EVER >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The stress of a normal 9 to 5 job)

-He has to go in the ring in fight

In the end, floyd pretty much works 40 hours a week, at least...

But with all that said, he still will make $80,000 an hour this year:deadmanny:

80,000 an hour !!!!! :wow:just ethered my whole life right there!:to: Shout to Floyd for maintaining that hard work & dedication! Only certain people are built for that life

Hitting a major league pitch is one of the hardest thing to do in the world. Taking an azz whooping like Canelo's about to do? Sh*t I could that right now :manny:

:why:

Beating Floyd Mayweather is one of the hardest things to do in the world.

You don't just go in the ring, Day 1, and get a multi-million dollar fight. You'd have to actually be very damn good and have an impressive resume of beating other boxers.

Word, people don't realize how hard it is to hit a major league pitch....If you get a hit in 27% to 30% of your at bats you're doing a good job.

At least Canelo is bringing something to the table tho....So it's not like he's just taking an asswhooping. He's bringing half the audience/money.

But yeah I'd love to go in there and take an asswhooping for a few million.

You'd have to whoop a lot of professional ass before getting million dollar payday.

I personally think it's impossible. But I said taking an azz whooping is easy. I could easily do what Hatton/Gatti did in the ring against Floyd :heh:

That's another thing Floyd needs to get a lot more credit for. Taking his career in his own hands and cutting out the promoter so he can get paid the maximum amount. He has set a blueprint that these young boxers coming up better study.
