WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao is hoping to get word by next month on whether of not WBC/WBA champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. intends to fight him on May 2nd. Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is speaking with CBS/Showtime boss Less Moonves, who says he is capable of securing Mayweather for the fight.

"I have not been updated [on what's going on with the Mayweather fight]," Pacquiao told ABS-CBN News on Sunday. "We are waiting on those updates. Maybe, after the New Year, after these holidays, we will know."

Pacquiao says all Mayweather has to do is "sign the contract" and the fight is on. There are growing rumors that Mayweather is in talks to face Miguel Cotto in a rematch on the May date. And Amir Khan is also chasing Mayweather as well.

Yes....the one that Showtime offered TR with a 65/35 split.

From my understanding (and readings), TR is pretty much set to go. There's no real reservations on their side which is holding up the negotiations this time. They cool on their end, except wanting to see if they can squeeze out an extra 5% to make it 60/40 across the board. That aint no real money though, so they ready to roll. Everyone is just waiting on Floyd to sign the damn thing and then we get the fight boxing needs.

Floyd, however, is dragging this thing out. I do not know what he's waiting for

Breh, go back through this thread....I dont have time to dig up all the info (tweets from Stephen Espinoza himself) stating what they offered TR all the way back in August and it's still sitting on the table. Nowhere in this thread is there any tweet from a credible source that even romotely implies Bob Arum will accept 60/40...

Please find the post/tweet you are talking about...This shouldn't be difficult if it exists...

It's disturbing considering boxing's well deserved reputation of being full of corrupt and nefarious managers, promoters, judges, organized crime, etc.. How any fighter in this day and age would choose to remain ignorant is mind boggling. By the way, for all the flack that people throw Al Haymon's way asking what his position is and if it violates the Ali Act, surprised nobody questions Arum's actions.
