Marquez, Mosley (maybe? but he was shot by then tbh) whoelse is there? Oscar (even tho he lost ever big fight he had vs prime fighters)
Basically--more important than who is when.

How great was Chavez when he fought Sweat Pea, a fight where Pea fought p*ssy and held for dear life, and still couldn't pull out the win...... Matter of fact simply name one Elite fighter Whitaker has beat and got a W on his recordNo name them. And tell me how great were they when he beat them. I mean, Camacho beat Ray Leonard so he's greater than both of them, right?
Right?![]()
GOAT gif.
Mayweather da GAWD! Glad he is back! Boxing needs this man!

Where Floyd has:
Mosley
ODH
JMM
Hernandez
Chavez
Corrales
Miguel Cotto

Wow. Just wow. You know what? I thought we were actually gonna chop it up and talk boxing forreal. But you're a newbie. Probably didn't start watching the sport till 2000. G'head, man. No point in discussing with you. Notch it up as an internet victory for yourself.
Respect at taking your L like a man...............
Somebody else could join in, if they feel![]()
At using fights that were toss ups and many people felt Whitaker lost to support, yall weak ass agendas
Kind of like using fights at the tail end of his career while he was heavy on drugs to judge his all time defensive ranking.
Ali and SRR looked pretty bad at the tail end of their careers as well by your logic neither can be considered the GOAT right?
Dudes like you are why people dislike Floyd fans(and I'm a fan). Dude's career is no where near over yet you want to crown him the GOAT defensive fighter already.
Didn't you bring "prime"and how great into the discussion???I mean, whatever makes you feel better. When you ask how great was Chavez when Pea fought him (4-division winner, 87-0, pound for pound #1 four years running), it makes it clear to me that I'm arguing with a fool. And a wise man told me not to do that.
Do you think a fighter who had 87 fights was in his prime![]()

Considering ODH destroyed Mayorga like no one else including Cotto, a year before he fought Floyd means he was he was close to prime huh, and the same goes for Mosley who looked spectacular in dismantling Margarito in a prime esqe performance, then fights Floyd a year later and gets dismantled................................But but but things is different when it comes to Floyd huh.........Prime is relative--you don't paint it with a broad brush. Fernando Vargas was out of his prime around 25 while there are fighters today who were still great into their late 30's. So it depends on their person. Considering that he destroyed Camacho and Haugen within a year of the Pea fight, I'd say he was still or very close to his prime. Again, he entered the Whitaker fight pound for pound #1 in the world. Let that soak in.
As to your second comment, Chavez wasn't the only person greater in the lower divisions. So was Pea.

Name one great fighter he beat in those lighter divisions, I'll wait................................
