at your weak ass response.
Is that fighter great or elite???????????????????
My point.............................
Both, without question.
Considering ODH destroyed Mayorga like no one else including Cotto, a year before he fought Floyd means he was he was close to prime huh, and the same goes for Mosley who looked spectacular in dismantling Margarito in a prime esqe performance, then fights Floyd a year later and gets dismantled................................But but but things is different when it comes to Floyd huh.........
Name one great fighter he beat in those lighter divisions, I'll wait................................
Explain
First ballot Hall of Famer. Nelson was also a pound for pound entrant for many years. Ruled 126-130 in the 80's with wins over Juan LaPorte, Wilfredo Gomez and capped off his career with an incredible win over Jeff Fenech in their rematch in Fenech's native Australia...then came back at 37 and knocked out Ruelas and Leija in succession. At the time he fought Whitaker, his only loss was to the legendary Salvador Sanchez...in his 13th pro bout...in a fight he took on 8 days notice. Was up on one card when the green Nelson wore down and was stopped in the 14th. A truly great fighter--maybe the best ever out of Africa.
He's not great Gomez was his only chip, do you ever here Nelson mentioned along the "greats of that era, Hell No, and are you gonna act like Leija the fringe contender didnt beat avenge Nelson his L.....................By your logic I guess you think Cory Spinks is Elite and ATG
You do know you are hanging your argument on a guy that had 6 l's and 2 draws, right....
First ballot HOF'er. On pound for pound list from 1984-1994. Yeah, not great.
First ballot HOF'er. Pound for pound entrant for a decade. Seems the rest of the boxing world doesn't agree with you, Skippy. So he won the belt 3x in a weak division taking 6 l's in the process and.........

He's good, not great or elite, that's what some of yall boxing fans have a hard time differentiating, the truth is when Nelson started fighting the bigger names and B class fighters he started taking L's after L
